Day 2 - A Whole New World

Sleeping last night was the most shivery and the most uncomfortble sleep i've ever had (besides the other tyme i had flu and my sister kept the airconditioner longer than we're suppose to).

We were suppose to switch On our room conditioner aircon till 30 degrees celcius to warm up the room but all 3 of us were so Noob in Chinese language that we dint realise we dint put it in the sun logo, which is heater, and it was in the logo of fan, the room was as cold as outside la. -.- i'm so glad we finally have that straightened out :-)
the pictures below may give you a rough idea of what we have to deal with:

blogger sign In, in Chinese Language!
this is actually the menu in the muslim canteen stall campus. most stalls have their menus up like that as well. haha, imagine yure a Malay Muslim, scary or not? yu tell me. =P

Since i find some difficulty in accessing the internet (mostly because i could not get my hands on the cable yet), i tried to chat online w any of my love ones using one of my roommate's laptop, Hashanah. She tried on the cable that we've found in the room to test out. I tuned in early mainly bcos of the cold and also becos of the long day.

Forced myself to wake up when my hp rang. Mind over Matter, I told myself. The hot water was so... I dint want to come out to face the cold again. One thing that kept me going was: FOOOODD~ (mama, thank you for forcing cik Nifa to buy some porridge for me. That was my breakfast this morning, i miss you loads ~)

my first cook faraway from home, not that bad, since its instant~ hahaha.
below are some pictures of the tour (around the dormitory) we had today...

~ everytime i walked past this piece of land, i'm thankful that i live in a more comfortable and clean environment. it makes me feel lucky. i dont think im the only one who feels this way, too. (:
the tour was before the group leaders and Mr Wong went to buy the ppaid card for those who requested. I dint buy one. I think i'd rather email/msn/videocall my love ones than spend some more on calls. Hopefully, there will be no emergencies call needed.

~i think the current scenery is very pretty. in Sg, its hard to find bare trees. When i saw them, i'm very awe-d.

I just found out the McDonalds here is not Halal. I suspected it wasnt when Xinhui (xh), my other roommate, and Wei Guang went to bought McD at the airport during our lunch break. Guess what? Its correct. Thank to Clive and Xinhui again, for informing me about the pork burger promotion. The McD smelled so gooodd thougH~ and its so warm~ and it has Hot Chocolate~ and the weather still freeze my fingers. so yah. sighs.too bad~

had dinner at the same muslim stall. tried the other fried stuff, quite nice, not bad at all. feeding myself with more beef. i hope i dont lose weight and my face and lips are not cracking too badly. oh spring, please come quick. I need warmth. i'm lucky so far laughter and joy are still closeby with xh and hash around.

and its not that i've grown fatter. its the jacket 3 sizes bigger (Thanks anyway, papa. Atleast its keeping me less colder than without, thank you...) and its the glove thats making my fingers look like two fat sausages thats all~ lol!

suppose to go for a movie after our dinner but the locals have some difficulties with their Hi-5. heard them sing and introductions are made. most of them are nice and are friendly. some of them appears to try to be friendly but there's no communication bridge with me and some of the students who arnt very good in speaking or understanding english.. may learn from each other...

class is at 9am tomorrow. hope i can have the strength and the will to wake up as early as today.... =/ breakfast tomorrow is clear: me and xh bought bread and jam for us, 3, during free and easy.

p.s. i think i must start washing my stuff aedy... =/
